This was the third in the series of lighting installations at the Holburne Museum in Bath and I followed in the footsteps of established light artists Bruce Munro and Martin Richmond. Light to Light consists of  an offset grid of 104 x LED Pixel Pars set out on the lawns at the rear of the Museum, just in front of the old pleasure gardens. The gardens would have been lit two hundred years ago with a series of "illuminations" made up of flares and torcheres all of which were ignited "on cue" by a team of scores of gardeners! The work can be seen in isolation or experienced accompanied by a 40 minute composition heard through personal headsets and  to which the lights dance and syncopate. The music was written and performed by Matt Clifford with whom I have worked with Mick Jagger for many years in his capacity as keyboard player and producer.
