Following Adele’s hugely successful arena tour of Europe and the US, it was decided to make a new version of the production that would play in stadiums in Australia and New Zealand. Designed to be performed in the round, the stage set designed by Es Devlin consists of a series of circular elements with Adele herself at the very centre of them all. A series of concentric rings of lights form the crown of the structure and hide the technical equipment that sits inside them. These lights are used to illuminate the audience - a key part of the show – and also to reinforce and celebrate the circular form of the design. A round platform below the main lighting rig is the main performance area for Adele and links to a huge circular runway on which Adele spends a lot of the show. Adele will perform four nights at Wembley Stadium at the end of June using this same production.
